I frequently walk by Notre Dame as it is in the route to Metro/RER station St Michel.
Today I took some pictures of the crowds. It was about 1:00 PM or so. And it is the week leading up to Easter. But, the lines are very long. There is a line for just getting in, which is free, and another for ascending the stairs to the towers, which has a cost. The line for getting in stretches from the door way across the parvis.
Not everyone is in line. Many are just sitting around on the parvis.
The line for the towers starts at the left (as you face the front) tower and heads along the road towards St Louis.
